The models provide a range of products from the economical Glaucus Green up to the Glaucus Titan IV with an incredible 4.4 terabytes of storage and yet still at a price far below products that can only stream music and/or video.

Glaucus serves many different purposes:

1. stores your videos and photos and streams them to video players such as the DSM-320 Media Player for display on TVs/Home Theatres throughout the house.
2. stores your entire music collection and streams it to devices such as the Squeezebox, the MP101 or the DSM-320 or computers with superb digital or analog sound quality. 
3. streams audio to local analog powered speakers or amplifier.
4. has a browser interface (coming soon) to configure, monitor, and control such things as
• climate
• lighting
• security systems
• surveillance cameras
• appliances
• blinds and drapes
• communicating door locks
• etc.
5. can be configured as an Internet gateway providing any or all of the following optional services
